Kenworth Warranty Determination & Over‑the‑Counter Parts Policy

Understanding how Kenworth warranty claims are evaluated helps set clear expectations for coverage, eligibility, and reimbursement. The information below explains how warranty is determined and how over‑the‑counter parts are handled under warranty claims.

This page applies only to warranty claims and does not represent general service, goodwill, or non‑warranty repairs.

How Is Warranty Determined?

What determines whether a warranty claim is approved?

Warranty determination is made by the OEM or supplier (Kenworth) and is based on the following factors:

  • In‑service date
  • Mileage
  • Engine hours

All three criteria are reviewed when determining warranty eligibility. Coverage is not determined by repair location or purchase date alone.

Over‑the‑Counter Parts Warranty Policy

What is the warranty policy regarding over‑the‑counter parts?

For over‑the‑counter (OTC) replacement parts, the following policy applies:

  • Replacement parts must be paid for by the customer at the time of purchase
  • The Warranty Department will file a warranty claim
  • If the claim is approved and paid, the customer will receive reimbursement
  • Reimbursement is issued using the same method of payment as the original transaction

Warranty approval is subject to OEM review and claim acceptance.
